The Human Race

One thing is true of all the human race,

We all bleed red blood. 

No matter how rich, how poor, what color, what race, what title you hold in life.

When you cut to the core of mankind, we all are flesh and blood. 

But somehow that is easily overlooked and lines are drawn that separate us into our own categories. 

Think about it! How many titles do you hold in life? I know me personally I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a friend, a cousin.

Oh and let’s not forget I’m a woman, I’m American, I’m straight, I’m outgoing, I’m smart, I’m a citizen, I’m an employee and the list can go on.

I mean sometimes I feel like I wear so many titles in a day that I could be a transformer. 

And that’s not to say that all titles are bad. Some are worse than others.

Some come with more responsibility. Some come with more love, others more hate. 

But, I am starting to understand that no matter how many titles I may have, the most important one is, I am a human. 

I have to understand that you are a human. You hold many titles yourself. 

You hurt like I hurt, you bleed like I bleed. There’s no title in the world that can separate us from being what we truly are. A human race. 

So I think that instead of us fighting all the time over what titles separate us, we need to learn to work together for one good cause; uplifting the human race. 

Because once we learn to love one another and not let our titles overshadow our humanity, The world will be a better place. 

So let’s strive to do better my readers. Let’s not let our titles separate us so much. At the end of the day we are all the human race and United we stand, divided we fall.
